Wesley and I (well, mostly I) decided that in order to warm up for Fierce Deity Link and Skull Kid, we’ll be making a couple of Homestuck cosplays that aren’t quite as complicated.

So, I really, REALLY need money right now.

I really need money for Otakon this weekend. I have gotten literally 0 commissions and I will get little to no money from my family as we are struggling to come up with the rent this month and are trying to pay for my mother’s physical therapy as she has been in the hospital for over seven months now. I do not beg for money (though if you really, really want to give, go ahead), so I have resorted to selling some of my things that I don’t need as much. If you want to pick up at Otakon, you don’t have to pay shipping and you can pay in cash. If you can’t, I really will need the money through Paypal by Friday and I will ship it out as soon as possible (though I have to charge for shipping). I’m being really fair with my prices because I am pretty desperate, so please consider buying something or at least reblog for signal boost.

It’s in perfect working condition and has absolutely no major scratches in the screen and is not cracked. The metal back is scuffed from normal use. Never had any water damage or any major drops. This is a great price, as ones in similar condition (light wear, no cracks) can go for well over $100 on ebay. 

AM WWII Replica Compass: $18

Perfect condition, never used, and perfect for any steampunk cosplay. The piece is functional and completely metal and glass (no plastic) and even has a sight. It’s a bit hard to open since it’s never been used. Goes for $30+ online. Comes with the original box.

So I was on Facebook earlier, and some pages I liked posted cosplay photos. 

The first was at a pony photoshoot, and had a royalty shot. All of the cosplays looked pretty good, and a few of them looked amazing. 

All the comments complained how fat and ugly the cosplayers were, or even some of the people in the background at the shoot. 

Another picture was posted of girls cosplaying the mane six. A couple of the cosplays looked decent, but they lacked horns, had cheap wings, and all of them showed way too much skin for their character. 

But everyone commented on how great they were as cosplayers because they were skinny. 

And people ask me why I’m afraid to cosplay.

My favorite part about my Spades Slick cosplay was cutting an arm off a $150 Christian Dior suit.

And I helped. 

I just pumped out a checkered dress for Animal Crossing cosplay in about two hours. The only downsides to it are that it’s a heavy fabric (HEAT) and I have to wear both petticoats under it (MORE HEAT). But at least it looks great! Now I just need some tights to go with it. 

Went out and got supplies for a last minute SECRET COSPLAY. 

Hint:

Don’t too Cross when you see us. I’m sure the outfits will ring a Bell.
